Preschool Staff

Rachel Hoyt
Rachel Hoyt, Preschool Teacher

Rachel Hoyt helped establish our preschool in 2006. After a year's leave of absence to enjoy being home with her son Jack, she is now excited about returning to the classroom and the joy of teaching your children. Her expertise in curriculum development and child development are the foundations of our school. Her loving nature and her boundless creativity allows her to always make learning seem like play.

Sheiba GatzkeSheiba Gatzke, Afternoon Teacher; Morning Assistant

Sheiba is mom to Kaylen, a former Mt. Olive preschooler. Her experience at Gaston elementary helping with reading gives her first hand knowledge of what expectations await our preschoolers when they enter kindergarten.  She has a contagious love for children and that special ability to anticipate just what each student needs – a kind word, redirection, encouragement, a friend to play with or share a book with.
