Confirmation & Membership
Confirmation is a custom of the church in which a person declares
that he/she is a Christian who has been baptized, confesses the faith, and
is in communion with Christ and His Church.
Confirmation for 7th and 8th grade Youth focuses on The Gospel of Matthew & Luther's Small Catechism one year and the Book of Romans & the Small Catechism the next year.
Presently we are meeting the last Saturday of every month at Forest Hills Music Room/Gymnasium, 9 am - 1 pm. Next meeting is April 25 as the last Saturday of March is Spring Break.
Adult Membership is by profession of faith (from a non LCMS Lutheran
congregation), by self-study (Book of Romans and Small Catechism secured
byasking the Pastor), by reading a Lutheran version of the Purpose-Driven
Life (available at the Church Office), or by attending a bi-yearly class
of 8 hours (usually three Sunday evening classes of 2 1/2 hours each).
In other words, by a class with Pastor or by a self-study received from
the Pastor.
