PAM MORRIS

PAM MORRIS

Pam was born in Portland in 10-3-1958 and came to live with her folks, Willy and Dick Morris, in Forest Grove where she grew up and went to school.

After high school, she attended the University of Portland for two and a half years.  She married John Scott in 1979 and they had two children:

                                    1.  Andrew Scott          2-27-1981

                                    2.  Rebecca Scott         2-25-1982

Pam is a single Mom and has worked at Nike for twelve and half years in security – physical security.  Pam says Nike is a very interesting place to work with a culture all its own.

She has two job titles.  The first is “Senior Administrative Specialist.”  In this capacity, she helps her boss with budgeting, with anything that has to do with running the department such as:  ordering uniforms and things required for the security people, providing a web page, preparing hiring packets, payroll expense reports, posting orders, etc.

The second job title is “Access Control Administrator.”  She receives incoming Email and programs and distributes badges for hem.  There are 6000 people and nine offices throughout the United States involved.

Once a week, she does have outside help from office administrative people who help her with parking stickers, notices, etc.  She created a database to control parking so now part of her job is to train personnel to handle this work.

This busy lady finds time for “stress relief” from work for rehabilitation for an injured knee three days a week and to go to a fitness center for swimming two days a week just to get away from her desk for a little.

Pam has attended Mt. Olive Church since she was nine years old.  Pastor Carow baptized her.  Today Pam sings with the “Praise Team” and is Vice President of the LWML.

HOBBIES:  Travel – this is one of Pam’s passions.  She has taken some cruises and plans more plus, she and daughter, Becky have been enjoying long week-end trips to just get away.  Pam also enjoys crafting, scrapbooks and cards.  One of the officers at work was stung by a bee so Pam crafted an elaborate replica of a purple heart for him.

Part of Pam and Becky’s family are two huge cats:  Katie Marie and Miss Kitty who live with Pam and Becky on the west edge of Forest Grove next door to Mom, Willy Morris.

BECKY MORRIS

Becky was born in Hillsboro on 2-25-1982.  Since the second grade she lived on Bald Peak Mountain above Laurel for twelve years.  Then she moved with her Mom to their new home in Forest Grove.  As a young girl she went to school in Yamhill and graduated in 2000.  She has now finished Eastern Oregon University with a degree in business management.

Today Becky works for DHL Global as a logistics analyst working with the shipping department of the company in their Planners and Carriers department.  She schedules shipments to deliver equipment to customers wherever, whenever, and on time.  This job is “inside of Sun Microsystem.”

Although her work week is a five day, forty hour week usually, about every three months, she may work a seven day week, eight to eighteen hour day when work demands.

Becky has always attended Mt. Olive Church.  She is not our wedding coordinator and her first wedding will be in August for Rachel Bohlken.

HOBBIES:  Her favorite hobbies are art work, beading, painting, scrapbooking, and above all baking cakes.  Another hobby is traveling.

She loves to “hang out” with her friends and is busy now helping her best friend with her wedding.

BECKY’S PASSION:  She is a “coffee freak;” this is her comfort zone and requires many cups of coffee a day.  She even creates her own blends buying several varieties of beans from Winco and Costco, then grinding and blending them.  This process also requires specialized coffee pots.

Andy Morris

Andy was born in Hillsboro on 2-27-1981.

He lives in central Oregon and is furthering his education by taking a correspondence course and is also very artistic, a hobby he enjoys pursuing.

 He works in a kitchen.
