Irene was
born Jan. 1, 1914 and is 88 years old. She was
born on a
farm in North Dakota and has lived in Forest
Grove five
years. Since she has no children and her husband
is
gone, she moved here to be with her sister and children,
her
"new family."
Her husband
was born in 1911 and died in 1983. He was a
salesman
and served in the Air Corp during the war. He also
served four
years in the Marines.
Irene was a
beautician (and cute as a button and very alert).
She
moved to Spokane in 1928. She likes to travel (little
trips) and
crochet. But the thing she loved the most was
to work.
The one
thing she felt was unusual about her life is that
she has had
a girlfriend since she went to high school and
they still
see each other often. |
