Joel, Monique, Tyler and Ellie

Joel and Monique and the children live, for the past year, out Gales Creek way, near the west edge of town. Previously, they had lived in Forest Grove, and later in Hillsboro. However they remembered Forest Grove as a unique a little town, a good place to raise children with good schools, a place to make their home.

Joel is assistant general manager for a hotel in Beaverton. The hotel is behind "Sweet Tomato restaurant" near Intel, where most of Joel’s customers come from. Joel was born and raised in and Portland.

Monique is a fulltime mother and homemaker. She works one day a week for "Linen and things." Monique was born in New Jersey. When she was three, her father was sent to Germany in the military. Her mother’s family moved here and so, her mother, not wanting to be left alone, moved here with them. So that is how Joel and Monique managed to be in the same place at the right time and come together.

Mosier’s were always Lutheran people, Monique’s mother is Lutheran, her father Jewish, so when they came to Forest Grove they began looking for a church. They scoped out two or three churches, but went to Mt Olive church first and like it. They especially liked the smaller congregation and the bonded family atmosphere here and they liked Pastor Bohlken.

Joel and Tyler’s favorite hobby is fly fishing. Joel’s favored fishing hole is near Maupin on the Deschutes River. However he and Tyler settle for Gales Creek.

Monique's hobby, when she has time is scrap booking. Other than these hobbies, the family stays pretty close to home, but do a little family camping, or travel to California to visit’s Joel’s family

Tyler is four and a half years old and goes to preschool and he says he is good at it. Tyler plans to be a farmer and raise cows, chickens, horses, and pigs.

Ellie is three and a half months old and has not made any decisions yet.

There is also Jake, the big fluffy cat.
