STEVE AND TRISTA COLFELT

DANIELL AND HALEIGH

(prepared by Annie Jarrell)

STEVE , TRISTA,  DANIELL, AND HALEIGH

COLFELT

We visited Colfelt’s in their lovely home tucked in the cul-de-sac of Fir Street in a secluded corner of Eastern Forest Grove; the perfect place to raise two busy little girls.

Steve and Trista are true Oregonians.  Steve was born in Portland and Trista in the Beaverton area.  Steve moved to Forest Grove in 1979, attended Forest Grove High School, and Oregon State and majored in Communications.  He now works for IDT, Integrated Device Technology which is a semi-conductor manufacturing plant, like Intel, but only on a small scale.

Trista is a homemaker and attended Sunset High School.

They were married in 1996 and Daniell was born November 27, 2000, then Haleigh in April 25, 2003.

Colfelt’s looked a long time but decided Mt. Olive Church, and the Saturday night service was right for them.  Since Steve often works nights, Sunday service was not an option for a family worshipping together.

Steve enjoys fishing and golfing some with the guys.  The family hobbies include snow boarding, skiing, and camping.  Trista and Steve snow board and the little girls ski.  The girls also swim, bike ride, take ballet and T-bal.  Daniell is in pre-school.  Trista also does scrapbooking when she has time.

The Colfelts also enjoy a large, extended family, so birthday parties and holidays are numerous.

Trista and the girls, and Dad sometimes, spend time at the “Indoor Playground” at the Foresters’ Hall in Verboort where the girls play and go on outings.

For now working and traveling with the trailer and raising the girls are their plans for the future.
