JANICE BRICKEY

Forest Grove, OR 97119

Jan was born and grew up in Aloha and lived in the same house until she was a Junior in High School, when they moved to Hillsboro. She graduated from Hillsboro in 1971 and went to work as a caretaker in a nursing home. During her working career she was also a receptionist for Dr. Woodruff. She has worked the last five years as a caretaker for the Alzheimer Dementia Facility behind McDonalds in Forest Grove.

In 1979 Jan married David Hadley. Their children:

1. Isaac Hadley - 1980 He is an outdoors person who loves to hunt, fish, and ride

Dirt bikes. He works in logging and at a mill in Washington. His fiancee has 2 children and they are looking towards a bright future.

2. Ben Hadley - 1984 Ben goes to college off and on. He loves fishing and Art; painting and sketching. Ben lives in Portland and works at “Trader Joe’s”.

Jan was a stay-at-home Mother from 1980 until 1987 when she went back to work. She moved several times from Hillsboro to Mollala to Glenwood west of Forest Grove and there she stayed so the boys could grow up in the Forest Grove School District.

Hadley’s divorced in 1987.

All through these years she has attended several Lutheran Churches as she moved about, but is now settled in Forest Grove and a member of Mt. Olive Church.

When thinking of hobbies, as a hard working lady, Jan was surprised she didn‘t have a hobby. When would she have time? .Finally we decided “scrap booking” would be her “hoped-for-hobby” in the future and for now the Ladies Group Dinner on Thursday night she and her Mother attend is her current hobby.
