Jim and Diane Manley

 Jim and Diane Manley

Cornelius, Or

Son:  Ron Dunham who is thirty years old lives in Ohio. Ron works for the Willamette Paper company (Now Warehouser).  He has worked his way up in his company to become a plant superintendent and is fortunate to travel quite a lot for the company.  His parents also say he is “one of the nicest people you have ever met”, which I am sure is very true.

Jim and Diane’s other family members are Daniel, A 150 POUND Rottwieller dog and Boone, a very chubby beagle dog.  Working full time and caring for their pets keeps Manleys very busy.

Jim drives a local freight truck out of Portland for Priority Freight.  Jim Graduated from Hillsboro High school and has some training in Mechanical drafting but has it I his heart to drive and love what he’s doing.  He has been driving since 1982 and has worked for this company for almost 2 years.

Diane works for merry maid, house cleaning service.  She originally worked for them and then at forty decided to try clerical work.  Later she became a caretaker caring for our friend, Shirley Pate until Shirley passed away. Now Diane is back a Merry Maids until something more interesting comes along.

Jim was born in Richmond, Or but his father was in road construction  so the family traveled a lot seeing country from Alaska to California, usually coming back to this area in between. After Jim graduated he continued to travel on his own and that is how met Diane, in Fresno Ca.  Diane was born in Bremerton Wa but raise in California.

After Jim and Diane married they decided to come home to this area to be with their families who finally settled in and around here.  Unfortunately, almost immediately after they came, their families separated and moved away. Happily there are still some cousins, their extended family around. Even thought Jim is a mover and would probably like to go, Diane has her roots down.  She loves Oregon and the changing seasons and they both love Mt Olive Church, the minister and the congregation.  They came to Mt Olive over a year ago with their good friend Shirley Pate.

Their favorite hobby is gardening and they have a huge back yard and very fertile soil to practice in.  Diane is learning to can and they are able to share their vegetables with their large family of neighbors.

Sunday driving in the hills with their four wheel drive truck and dogs is relaxing.  Fishing and camping are other hobbies they haven’t had time to do too often since coming back to Oregon.   Could it be because Diane can out fish Jim?
