Noteworthy
endeavors by the LWML at Mt Olive are:
|
Hosting
Church Social Functions |
Each
year a number of events are planned, coordinated, and supported by
the LWML. They range from New Years Eve Potlucks, Quilt Displays,
Summer Picnics, spring clean-up, prayer services, to participation
and attendance at the regional and national conferences of LWML,
which has over 250 thousand members.

Secret
Prayer Sisters |
This
highly successful effort is as rewarding to the giver as well as the
receiver. Members of this group are provided the opportunity to pray
daily for their "secret sister" and to send them anonymous
cards, letters, and small gifts. At the end of the year, the secret
sisters are revealed to each other at a luncheon. Anyone can join in
on this and receive the gift of prayer and constant reminders that
someone is thinking of them.

|
Financial
support to Christian Students |
When
possible, the LWML likes to support our Younger Christians with a
monthly stipend as they go to Concordia Seminary or Concordia
University system.
